The Men's ministry at
River of Life is one of work, worship and whacking little white balls, well trying to at least.
One look at our "Building Team" page and you'll see that the guys
in our church enjoy working for the Lord, whether it be renovating our church,
or building other churches by serving on missions teams overseas -
we enjoy the work God gives us and the
ability to do it for Him!
Even if we don't want
to admit it men need all the help we can get.
Scripture says "iron sharpens iron"
so we endeavor to sharpen one another in Christ through Wednesday morning
breakfasts.
These opportunities for
fellowship, bible study and prayer are a great pick me up in the middle of the
work week.
Typically we start at 6:15
am to get done in time for work, yes 6:15 does come twice a day.
We are guys, not saints
- well technically we are saints too but have you seen some of us on the golf
course? It isn't pretty but it is a lot of fun!
Weather permitting once or twice a month a group of guys, ladies are sometimes allowed, get together to
play that awful game called golf.
We also plan other activities for men's fellowship and
an opportunity to invite our friends to church.
From time to time we offer a men's night out - guy movies, guy
games and guy snack food.
Oh yeah, if you're around in February at our annual
meeting we guys put on one outrageous chili feed, actually it is a contest,
prizes are awarded and the competition is fierce.
